Nicola Ramsay BVMS MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Glasgow University in 2022 after returning to education as amature student. I had a previous career in management in customer facing roles but wanted to combine my passion for working with people, with my love for science and animals.

Veterinary medicine was the obvious choice!

I graduated with a Commendation and The John Tharme Prize for 'academic excellence through adversity' after successfully completing my course whilst battling breast cancer during my studies.

At home, I have two Japanese Spitz, Yoshi and Flo. Yoshi is a mummy's boy, having had him from a puppy and Flo I rehomed at the age of 5 but she quickly settled into my household and is extremely loving (and constantly wants attention!)

I also rehomed two chinchillas, Clyde and Chase, who at the time of writing this are around 10 and 15 years old! Both are little sassy balls of fluff.

Working at Bishopbriggs Vet Centre has been a joy and I love meeting ownersand their pets. I feel privileged to be able to treat animals in my care and I will always try my best to treat every animal like they were my own.
