I started working in Bishopbriggs Vets in August 2002 as a receptionist before we were computerised. I had worked for many years in Springburn Health Centre as a GP receptionist, so often I would see some “kent” faces but with their pets in tow! As I am now Practice Manager, I spend most of my time in the office, so don’t come in contact with our clients as often as before, but I am still one of the voices on the telephone.
Coming from a farming background and also being the mother of a “horsey” daughter, I have a knowledge of the problems both our farmers and equine clients can experience, so hopefully this stands in good stead when it comes to helping the girls prioritise calls and direct them to which vet is nearest.
At the moment, I only have 1 (very boisterous) pet, a pointer cross, who keeps me on my toes, as can be confirmed by anyone seeing me being dragged around the Baldernock area!!!!
